" The cycle that encompasses our entrance and exit
Has neither a beginning nor an end in sight
No one speaks for a moment the truth about it
As to whence is our entrance and whereto our exit. "

Omar Khayyam (Iran - 1048 AD)

This is a collaborative piece with artist, Maryam Rouhi. We wanted to make this poem of Khayyam. The knots shows the dreams, wishes, prayers and desires of human beings. The tie in some religion represent a wish or prayer for getting something. This piece is a representation of a world which is full of underachieved wishes and unsolved problems but in a positive way. You need to let go and live a happy life as Khayyam says.

It is made out of 2500 tiles. Separately cut and glazed. The writings on the turquoises lines are Khayyam's poetry and they are hand written. Clay body is stoneware fired to ^04 and the glaze is a high sodium glaze fired to ^2.
